Our mission is to unite musicians with instruments that transcend mere craftsmanship to become tools of artistic expression and musical legacy.

Our Services

At Majestyk Guitars of Fort Collins, we curate exceptional instruments for distinguished performers, discerning collectors, and passionate enthusiasts.

We extend our expertise through both virtual and in-person consultations (at our Northern Colorado location), presenting our carefully curated collection. Our inventory is never on display. Each guitar is stored safely in their case in a humidity-controlled environment.

To enrich your experience, each acquisition includes a private thirty-minute instructional session or consultation.

We welcome you to explore our current inventory of fine acoustic, archtop, classical, and electric guitars.

Meet the Majestyk Founder

The genesis of Majestyk Guitars lies in founder Jeff LaQuatra's musical journey, which began in 1970s Cleveland. Amidst the energy of WMMS radio and the sounds of Cheap Trick, KISS, and Peter Frampton, Jeff began guitar lessons at an early age. A transformative encounter hearing a recording by classical guitar legend Julian Bream guided him toward formal classical studies under the mentorship of Mary Lou Roberts at Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory.

LaQuatra's academic pursuit led him to the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied under John Holmquist, culminating in his Bachelor's degree. His artistic evolution continued through graduate studies at the University of Denver under the guidance of Ricardo Iznaola. Today, as a distinguished senior professor of music at Colorado State University, he imparts his expertise through courses in guitar performance, guitar for music therapists, chamber music, and History of Rock and Roll.

His performances have spanned the United States, Italy, Canada, and China. In collaboration with his wife, flutist Michelle Stanley, their Quatra Duo released the critically acclaimed "Painted Music" (2020) on Navona Records, with a forthcoming album anticipated in early 2026. His solo recording,"”Twilight: Guitar Music at the End of the Century" (2003), showcases his solo artistry on the IGW label. Since 2011, LaQuatra has embraced his rock roots as a member of Mr. Majestyk's 8-Track Revival, a Colorado ensemble celebrating the 1970s soundtrack that ignited his musical passion and inspired our establishment's name.

Jeff's extensive expertise across guitar genres enables him to expertly match exceptional instruments with their ideal owners, creating a business that prioritizes both client and luthier relationships.
